Cuddles!

He's happy just cuddling with me and watching Glee. I realize it won't always be that way. He fits perfectly in my lap. I know that won't alwats be that way. In the meantime, this makes me happy....

Race for the Cure

What a sight! Race for the Cure in Peoria, Illinois to support breast cancer awareness. 14,000 women (and men and kids) teaming up to make a difference. I made it, running most of the way! It was hard not to get choked up at all the survivors and families remembering loved ones that had lost their bottle. Amazing...

Early Mother's Day present

Adam left me a note saying he made me an early Mother's Day present that would remind me of my mom. He had made hanging baskets in the backyard with pansies in them - something I remember planting every Mother's Day for my mom. Weee! Isn't he great?!

William is happy!

It is only fitting that my first post about something that makes me happy is my son, William.  How can I not be happy when I get to spend time with him - with our cuddles and playing and nursing and making eachother laugh.  He is such a happy baby!  This picture just shows his joy for just about no reason!  We were sitting on the couch and he was able to look out the window behind me.  He's so curious and I can do just about nothing to get a smile out of him!  Makes me happy!

New Blog!

I consider myself a happy person.  I might even consider myself a very happy person.  The smallest, most ridiculous things bring me joy.  For random, everyday things I get excited as if I was a child who just discovered there is a ceiling fan on the ceiling of his bedroom or that I have two feet.  Since I live with my cell phone attached to me at almost all times (don't judge....), I take a lot of pictures on my cell phone.  It has been wonderful to capture moments of family or my son or puppy or husband in an instant, but I rarely do anything with those pictures.

I have now created this blog to be somewhat of a "Happiness Journal" to capture pictures or notes of things that make me happy and to remind me to stay positive and there is so much to live for.

What makes you happy?
